From Mark:

This first story is kind of humorous. I had an Aunt and Uncle who lived in an older home in Asheville, North Carolina. My cousin, their daughter, lives in the house now and although her parents have been dead for more than 20 years, their presence is still there.

My aunt loved certain types of music and was very opinionated about other types, saying rock n' roll for example, was "just horrible screeching noise." She had an old record player that still works well and that my cousin now uses occasionally. The problem is, only certain types of record albums (the kind my aunt loved) can be played on the player without it skipping. I have personally witnessed the record skipping on albums that don't have any trouble playing on other machines. Sometimes the skipping has been quite violent with the arm of the player jumping across the album as if someone whacked it. Is this my aunt still letting her musical opinions be known?

My uncle's presence is also noticed. Uncle unfortunately died of a hear attack while on the toilet in the upstairs bathroom. Several times a year the toilet in that bathroom flushes when no one else is upstairs. My cousin has even had it replaced but the frequencies of the phantom flushings has never changed. My cousin just laughs at this and asks guests to please knock on that door before entering just in case Uncle is there.
