On Sept. 27, 1997 my Grandmother died.

Almost five years later, on August 3, 2002, my terminally ill grandfather was lying in bed looking out the window. My uncle walked into the bedroom and my grandfather asked him, "do you see those three woman out there?"

My uncle said, "no."

So my grandfather insisted, " how can you not see them, they are walking this way."

My uncle thought grandpa was tired since he didn't get much sleep the past night. He pulled down the blinds and left the room so my grandfather could get some rest. My uncle went out onto the porch to smoke a cigarette. The only thing on the porch is a rocking chair, and as my uncle was standing there it started swaying back and forth, back and forth, even though there was no wind. My uncle stood there a bit then said, " hi mom."

The rocker stopped rocking, so he went back inside. He walked into my grandfather's room to see if he was sleeping and he found that he had passed away. Then my uncle knew that those women my grandfather had seen walking toward him were the three most important women in my grandfather's life: his mom, his sister and his wife.
