From Mary:

When I was five, my gradmother (Mom's mom) passed away. She was like a mother to me and was my guardian for the early part of my life. When I was eight, my mother, my siblings, and myself moved to Califorina to be the caretakers for my grandfather, (Dad's dad).

We lived in my grandfather's old house and my room was the basement. One night, I could not stop thinking about my grandmother. I went to bed that night but was awakened by the covers tightening around me. I looked up and saw my grandmother tucking me in.

When she had finished, she kissed me gently on the forehead and said, "Good night, my love".

I called her name and she said, "Don't worry. I will be here for you even though you may not see me. Now sleep, love."

When I woke up the next morning, the room smelt of her perfume and did untill we moved out of the house. I believe that my grandmother was with me, and will remain with me for the rest of my life. She will always be there for me, to "tuck me in" when I need it.
